For those of you who don't want to download it, here is the intro to the sstory that my close friend
and I created. Feedback is welcome and appreciated
I love my job. Being able to invent things for the better of mankind is such a great and awesome responsibility. My dad always told me to follow my dreams and every day I feel like I do. However in order to accomplish my dreams I need to hire some people to run my company. I have a few other people I hired, but out of my most hard working members are two women…Who have also been my greatest friends. Sometimes I don’t always pay attention to the things that go on around me and sometimes I am often oblivious. Others have told me some of the people around me flirt with me, but I never see it. Then again…I don’t look for it. I have too much work that needs to be done and such trivial things like dating cannot get in the way.
Anyway- about my friends helping me: I feel the need to introduce them since they are why I am speaking today.
Marissa Stevens has been my best friend for almost forever. Often she talks a lot but is such a hard worker and always gets the job done, though she never thinks it is good enough because she didn’t get a formal education. Sometimes she works so much but forgets to clean up…She uh…well she tends to be a very dirty woman. [Pauses] Not that kind of dirty. Just tends to get grease all over her fur. I have had to remind her to come into work clean many times but she doesn’t always seem to grasp what I’m saying.
Samantha Lewis hasn’t been a friend of mine for as long as Marissa, but we have grown to be just as close. The day we met I was staring off into space during a class. She was irritated because even though I did, I still was getting high grades. She followed me around for...God...I don’t even know. But when I did notice I introduced myself to her and convinced to get her to work for me after I dropped out of college. I don’t think I’ll regret that, because she does very well there. She was a little awkward getting into conversation at first since she spent most of her life with studies. Often she sometimes reminds me of myself. Samantha works long and late into the night like I do but sometimes will tell me to sleep when I go too far. It actually annoys me, but I know I should appreciate it. What surprises me is that she is not afraid to speak her mind but has such a quiet voice. It’s a little odd
As of recently, I have completed my latest and greatest invention. I know how cliché saying that sounds, but I truly believe it to be my greatest one yet. I call it…well…erm….I havn’t gotten a name for it yet.
…
Okay. I’ll be honest. I wasn’t completely ready to unveil it but my two coworkers insisted that I do. Ever since I brought the idea to them, they were both extraordinarily interested in the device and wanted me to unveil it as soon as possible. A tad annoying yes, but I figured I would do it just to get them off my back. I tried to tell them I wanted to wait until I have a name. but they kept bugging me about it.
I was tossing the idea of calling it a Dream Connector or the Dream Connect, so that is what I shall call it for now. What it enables the user to do is become a part of someone’s dream and interact with them as their truest selves. I’m still not sure what good I can use with it, but I’m sure I eventually will think of something. A few days ago I was discussing with everyone at work on how to try and give the machine a test drive. Surprisingly these two ladies also wanted to help me test drive the machine.
They really are the most persistent women I have ever grown to know. I do not like the idea of running the machine on them, but they were the only ones willing to help run the machine. However…Now that I think about it…
It will be a little awkward seeing their dreams. But one must always be professional at work, right?
