I'm the same. After a time I got sick and that was the last thing I ate, I've been pretty much unable to eat sushi. (Even that scene in Drake and Josh where they stuff Sushi in their face in the factory made me sick.)
Pretty much the only kind of sushi I've been able to eat since then was "Vegan Sushi".
