This is coming out well, thanks for drawing him. I like the pose you put him in, that's a tricky pose to pull off since he's kind of kneeling, kind of squatting, and twisting his body at the same time. Having him putting on a puppet show fits his character perfectly, and I like how you're engaging the viewer by putting us backstage and having him look directly at you. If you watch "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," Clopin seems to be the only character who does that self-aware "looking at the audience" thing.

Like I said on Facebook, if you could extend the dark brown stripe so it's going all the way down his back, that would be great.

the stripe goes down to his tail, does that mean you want it filled in?

Yessir. You can see the outline of the stripe in the picture, but the area where you can see his backbone should be colored in dark brown.
