I'm starting to really improve with using Glitch as an art effect. It's crazy that with a couple of keystrokes and destroying a little bit of code, I can create effects that I could never successfully do with Photoshop.

I am indeed a NIN fan! It's Rob Sheridan's work that got me into Glitch!
I do it in a way similar to them. It's pretty straightforward. Convert an image to .bmp format, and then try to open it with a word processing program. Wordpad works well for PC glitching. Just open it up in the program and hit save. You can also experiment with pasting text in/cutting it out. It's a crap shoot, but much fun.

Found out it's called "The Wordpad Effect" via some guy's blog. Also really want to thank you for telling me this, but through trial and error the only thing that seems to 'work' is JPG and Ubuntu's wordpad for this on my machine. Results: http://doktorvonmaus.tumblr.com/pos.....e-201304180344
I STILL HAVEN'T REPLIED WHAT THE BITCH.
You use Ubuntu? Cool! No wonder you get different results from different methods. I'm on PC. Wordpad effect is the easiest way I know of, but Glitch has it's own world.
Are you familiar with Sheridan's work with How to Destroy Angels? It's similar to his NIN stuff, but more analog.
