Amazing 80s artwork by

So, yeah. A couple of months ago, I stumbled upon a band that time forgot. The Rockets were a French space rock band (yes, it's a real genre, go look it up!) whose career spanned for about 10 years during the 70s and 80s. Their sound is heavy on the synth and vocoder (which is what drew me to them in the first place), but at its core it's still fundamentally rock. Perhaps most striking about them are their costumes; borrowing from glam rock and sci-fi movies, it's all big shoulder pads, moon boots, black lycra, shaved heads and silver-painted skin. They're quirky, flamboyant and their lead singer (until 1984) Christian Le Bartz is completely mad. The music is actually really catchy, too!
This awesome piece of artwork features me in a Rockets-inspired outfit, squeaking out some awesome synthetic sounds with my puffy phinny fingers :)
Long live the gnarliest, most bodacious decade of the 20th century!
And here's some more of The Rockets, because they're awesome - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT5liqn4DGY&list=PLCS5wEsIDoqoIOx0eiWFNk_p4Y4PqbTEk
