16" x 20" Commission for Rally Dog
This is Rally dog, a Chocolate English Labrador, and his Rally Racing Car. This should have been done last week, but getting deathly ill often puts a damper on these things. This one was a real challenge. I am not one who enjoys drawing machines (such as cars), or text (such as logos), so much detail went into this one it took longer as a result adding to the delay. In spite of all this I am pleased with the out come. Done with 2H, HB, and 2B graphite pencils, 2B, 4B, and 6B charcoal pencils, and a 4B charcoal stick plus an eraser stick, and a kneaded eraser all on Canson Bristol paper.

For some reason the car feels a little wider than it should be.
But damn, man -- that's really the only not-gushingly-positive critique I can come up with. *chuckles*
The machine itself looks fantastic. Love the details: the wipers, grill, headlight all very realistic.
All the logos on the gear give great authenticity to the piece. I like that your signature is one of them along the side as well - cute.
And of course the puppy's adorable. D'awww....

Well, the only things that I can draw are machines......... I can never draw living things appropriately
