Thanks! I swapped the red and blue channels, and just touched the light and dark levels for a nicer contrast.

Haha, well it was, but I swapped the channels since I wasn't using a good white balance back then. There are a few shots that look pretty good with red though!

The crypt facing this one was actually open. Thankfully, it was still intact.

I've always loved that "frosted over" look you get from your IR's.

The more and more I work with IR and perfect colors, the more I find myself being drawn back to the basics of two bright colors, and the process involved to get it just 'right.'

Well. Whatever the process it seems to be working out very well. It seems to be getting better.

I don't really know anything about IR photography. Why do the clouds end up kind of blurred and wispy like that? Is it a long exposure?

Thank you! IR through a filter is typically a longer exposure. This was probably only a few seconds, but a storm was moving in just as I was taking the shot. It was very cinematic, and the perfect moment to have my camera.

Love the clouds. Did you stand in one place and put the shutter speed on bulb and held the shutter open for a little while.

Yup! The IR filter I used is very dark because it's blocking out most visible light, so IR passes to the sensor. You can get some really crazy effects this way.

It is! Just one of the hundreds of photos that get tucked away and forgotten.
