Along with her slew of other non violent spells, Binder's Chain and Snag are big on Sparkle's list of non violent means of dealing with opponents. Not that she's opposed to violence, but the faster you can deal with targets who want to hurt you, the better. And putting them to sleep or paralyzing them works wonders. Incidentally, she uses this spell a lot more in dungeons and her bedroom, then in actual combat ;)
