i draw some gods (and gods in general) for my project a whole lot, so let's take a break for some IMPORTANT PEOPLE.

Dazi is the second King of Kings, and arguably the most influential ruler of the first kingdom. She was also nominated "best king" on the king list I posted on tumblr a while ago for several reasons:

1) she managed to make “king of kings” into more than a ceremonial office. (nobody took Suran seriously b/c the guy was kind of a shitty leader and this really shows that ‘gods distributing swords on mountains’** is hardly a viable basis for a system of government.)

2) put the first kingdom on its feet and gently (and sometimes not-so-gently) coaxed some of the frumpier highlander tribes into unification

3) ruled for over fifty years.

4) gave no fucks about anything and had a notoriously low bullshit tolerance

5) punched a ghost right in the kisser once

6) was bffls with a god

*i need to make an historical timeline with maps oh my god
**that's a story for another time

as an aside, the wolves of water might be either RIVER SPIRITS or the manifestation of a river god.
