She's open for quotes right now! At some point she will close for quotes, and open for commissions. You can only get a commission if you've requested a quote. You put in a down-payment, and that starts the contract.

It took about a year from the time I got accepted into the queue (which was no small task -- I had tried twice before, and didn't get accepted). When she opens for commissions, it's for "the next batch", but each batch takes 6-9 months to complete, so it was on par with expectations. A bit later than originally planned, but not too bad.

This costume was ~$3,000, including the lit eyes, special feet, convertible-ness (it can be worn as a partial or full suit), and so forth. There's a price estimator on her website that can be used to estimate the price for your commission. She tends to give better prices the more flexibility/freedom she has.

The costume is very well fitted and well made. It seems very sturdy. The jaw actuates very nicely (though I still might add a small pad in one spot to see if it gets even better). The eyes are gorgeous, as you can see.

Her process involves a burst of communication up front ahead of the construction, and then frequent streams as she builds several costumes at once. You can subscribe to her stream to be announced when she's doing it, but she won't tell you "I'm working on your costume on Wednesday" or whatever. You just have to watch, or monitor her Tumblr for updates (which are variable in frequency). Along the way, I was able to catch some streams, and make suggestions here and there. Like, I had her alter the color on the teeth, because on the video, they initially looked too yellow. However, that degree of control is rare and is not meant to be part of every step of the process -- you have to trust her to make something awesome for you. If you need to be specific about every detail, you're better off going with another artist.

The suit durability remains to be seen, as I've only worn it a couple of times just to try it on. We haven't had an outing yet.

Huh, great information. I did the price estimation and got about 2600, which is less than what I expected! Even 3000 is much less. I believe DHC was someone I was going for too, but I think the base price was 3000, which I am not too thrilled about partaking. So, for them I will just remain adoring their suits from here rather than buying. I imagine even though it said 2600, Halo would still ring up more somehow. XD

Lovely person, but communication seems to make me nervous the most. Mainly because I have to remind them to read emails or they claim to either lost it/missed it. Not sure if it's a glitch or not. I ordered it last year and they said it be done June -Excitement.- I have no idea what to expect though.

They're friendly from what I know, I do get a vibe I'm forgotten unless I speak up though. Maybe I am just paranoid though.

As for "the degree of control" yeaaah. It's of course important to me. I've commissioned people for say Halo... and they give me a dog with blue hair or something. That has happened only a couple times, but it's certainly irritating. Though, 7 out of 10 times, people do a wonderful job and read my descriptions just fine. I guess I am just worried it will happen here.
Like I will end up getting this fursuit that doesn't look remotely like Halo. XD Scares me. Not saying that will happen, or I think it will, but ever since it happened with others, I'm iffy about other people too.

I plan to commission many fursuiters of Halo. :3 Different styles and all.
