I did this solely emotion practice, so naturally, I did a transformation story.
It was Jessica who found herself to be unfortunate enough to fall into the dark cave. Her clothes were left tattered, and she was banged up and bruised. The zubat inhabiting the area fled instantly. Her head pounded from her fall, and her vision was spinning. She tried to get up, but stumbled over. She was badly hurt, but alive, nonetheless.
It was difficult to see anything from where she was sitting. The small hole she fell through was the only major source of light coming into the cave she was in. She tried to focus her eyes to see in the dark, but there was little to no light coming from anywhere else. Unless, towards what seemed like the end of her vision, a dim light coming from a crack running through the rock wall.
Jessica tried to move towards it, but her body wouldn’t cooperate. She had aches and pains all over, urging her to sit still and rest. Only, she didn’t want to sit there, she wanted to get out. She regretted dropping all of her pokemon off for the day, because they could get her out easily. Jessica began to call out, trying to get someone’s attention. She didn’t expect a response, but she continued to do so, solely out of desperation.
She continued to shout for help, stirring up the remaining inhabitants of the cave. There were not many; only a few zubat and their evolutions, but there was a good reason for it all. Further into the cave, a creature bent on pure evil slept peacefully. Jessica’s shouts echoed through the cave. Which each ringing of sound, the creature’s sleep began to fade. His ears perked up, and his eyes opened.
Jessica’s will was fading, and her voice was going hoarse. Her head was getting fuzzy, and her eyelids were beginning to droop. She didn’t want to fall asleep, but she knew that she couldn’t fight it forever. “Just a few more minutes” she told herself. She was fighting the urge to drift off to sleep, but just as she was about to, a pile of rocks tumbled where she thought she saw light.
Through her dozing eyes, Jessica saw a small four legged pokemon through the rocks. She couldn’t tell what it was at first. Several yellow, illuminated rings scattered the pokemon’s body, while a mouth full of white razor sharp teeth reflected back at her. She held one last look at the pokemon, before fainting.
Jessica regained consciousness, and opened her eyes. The first thing she realized was that the room she was in was much brighter, but she couldn’t find where the light was coming from. Her head was clearing from its fuzziness, but her body was still a mess. She grunted from the pain of her aching back.
Jessica tried to brush away the dust from her face, but something stepped on her forearm. She turned her head panicked, and saw a black, gold ringed pokemon holding its paw over her wrist. An umbreon was staring at her, but this one wasn’t normal. This one’s mouth was filled with wicked, razor sharp teeth, and help a sinister smile. There was something strange about the creature’s face; somehow it seemed unnatural.
The umbreon leaned over closer, about an inch away from her face. The pokemon dangled its long tongue out, and licked her face. The feel of its tongue sent a chill down her spine, making her feel in a sense of danger. All she could think of was running away, but she wasn’t going anywhere.
When she thought the umbreon was about to due her in, it hopped off of her, and busied itself with something else. Jessica pulled herself, slowly, from her spot, and inched her way towards the exit of the cave. Although in immense pain, she still fought to make her escape.
The umbreon was tugging at something from a pile of rubble. It appeared to be struggling, so Jessica knew that this was her only shot. Only, its fight did not last long, and it freed the object from the heap. It trotted back over to Jessica with a purple object. The evil pokemon dropped it on her chest, and stared at her into the eyes.
Jessica focused her vision on what the umbreon gave her. It was a mask of a cat-like pokemon. It was a purple mask, with a red gem in the middle. It happened to be a mask of espeon, the counterpart to her captor. It seemed normal, but the fact that it lacked a mouth hole and a pair of eyes was strange. As she was pondering over the mask, the umbreon picked the mask off of her, and rushed it onto her face.
The mask burned hotter the longer it was in contact with her face. She couldn’t get it off because her captor was standing on her arms with all four legs. It stared at her with its devilish grin, making Jessica feel an intense sense of decomposer. A tear ran down the mask from her eye as it began to disappear under the mask.
Now her whole body was burning. She noticed that wherever she hurt the most, the hue of her skin was more purple. The sensations only got worse, and these were matched by more apparent changes. Instead of her skin being purple, she noticed that its was actually a smooth coat of fur growing, and her hands were being reduced to paws.
Her spine cracked, making it feel uncomfortable to sit upright. She slouched over, and hung over with her front paws. Also, as her spine shifted, it grew longer, creating a tail, divided in two, for her. The umbreon got off of her, allowing her to stand on all four paws.
Her face burned with intense heat. The seam of the mask disappeared into her fur, then her skin. Her face and head became that of the mask, giving her full use of its features, and forgetting her own. The only thing was, the costume lacked a mouth, and now she did too.
Jessica’s screams were muffled by her missing lips. She could breathe from her nose, but she couldn’t speak anything. She rubbed at her face, hoping to peel her artificial face away, but nothing came of her endeavors. Jessica stared with a horrified glance at the umbreon, who only returned his familiar grin.
“How are you liking your new body, girl?” said the umbreon. Jessica was frightened by the pokemon’s sudden ability for speech. “Why do you look so nervous. You are a pokemon, I’m a pokemon, why couldn’t we understand each other. How would you feel if a husband and wife couldn’t understand one another, hmm?” It took Jessica a second to ponder the question, but then she realized what her captor was getting at. He meant for them to be called spouses.
Jessica began to back away slowly from the umbreon, but he didn’t seem pleased with her reaction. “You think I’m just going to let you wander off. You need a change of attitude about this girl. Let me help you there.” The umbreon raised his paw into the air. While suspended he said the word “relaxed” and swiped his paw to the ground.
In the brief moment that his hand was positioned in the perspective of her face, her expression changed. The powers of the mask were to not only change the body, but the wearer’s emotion as well. A mouth had appeared on her face, and it held a lazy grin, yet she had no control of it. It also presented itself to her, that she had little control of the rest of her body. Her head was clear, but her body would not cooperate; it seemed sluggish.
Jessica’s stretched herself out, just like a cat would do, and laid herself on the cave floor. Although Jessica was still scared out of her mind, she was displaying all the signs of comfort. She felt calm and leisurely, but she only sensed danger. She felt good, but her intentions were elsewhere.
The Umbreon sat down next to her, and snuggled up to her body. Jessica’s thoughts ran wild with senses of danger and evil, but her body just wanted the warmth of another body. She turned over on her side, and wrapped her paw over the umbreon. Her captor, in turn, wrapped his own arms around her body, and held her tight.
Now, Jessica began to question if he was really evil. Though she couldn’t decide if it was influenced by her mask, or she actually felt that way. She felt safer denying the fact, and she was right to do so. The umbreon had much darker intentions for her, but he would have a little fun first. Snuggled up close and tight, her captor refused to let her go. Her raised his paw from her side, and slipped it past his vision of her face. “Fearful,” he said.
Jessica’s eyes went wide, and her concrete smile melted into a look of horror, not to be altered. A scream built up inside of her, but she couldn’t have it escape through her mouth. She pushed away from the umbreon, but he didn’t want her out so easily. She struggled, but the evil umbreon wanted to see her suffer.
Jessica’s body acted just as she felt, afraid. She wanted nothing more than to get away from the umbreon. She pushed and squirmed, but nothing was going to loosen his grip on her. She tried to worm her way out and slip through his arms, but he only pulled himself closer. She was being smothered under the umbreons body, but she couldn’t hold herself together.
Jessica was utterly panicking, but the more she struggled, the enjoyment of the umbreon grew more plentiful. “Jessica,” he said, “How about we get to know each other a little more.” His only response was the gaze of fainthearted eyes. “My name is Dweller, its a name given to me by the other pokemon of this cave, but for you, sweetheart, you can call me your mate. How do you feel about that, Jessica.”
She was screaming bloody murder on the inside, but none of her sounds escaped through. She was stuck in his paws, with no way to escape him. Her only hope was to distract him somehow, but what would she do. Jessica let him ramble on about how she should be enjoying herself, and other stuff, but her mind was to condensed with fear to listen.
“you know what, its hard to talk to you like this. You, Jessica, need a little personality change. He pulled in his “mate” and raised his paw to her face. “Attentive,” he said Jessica’s face tugged inward, and only shown a poker face. Her eyes narrowed slightly, but it gave off the idea that she was really paying close attention, which she was now.
Jessica was attentive, but not to his speech, but his body. She noticed something very obvious which she never had the nerve to look at. His mouth, though filled with numerous teeth and a menacing grin hardly moved as he talked. She also noticed how artificial his face looked. It didn’t take long for her to put two and two together and say he was wearing a mask similar to hers.
If he, two, was wearing a mask, then maybe she had a chance over him. If all she had to do was change his personality, then maybe she could escape. As her captor rambled on about having such a good time with her, she gently raised her paw off the ground. Hovering over his face, Jessica dropped her paw to the ground, shouting “submissive” in the process.
His toothy grin disappeared into his face, leaving only a slightly opened mouth in its place. His eyes went from full of pride to that of fear. He backed off of Jessica, and covered himself in a corner. Jessica wanted to discipline her captor, but her mask’s control wouldn’t allow it. All she could do was stare at the umbreon, which made him more uncomfortable. She had to communicate with him somehow, so she tried to motion herself taking off the mask.
After several failed attempts to get the message across, and several stern looks, the umbreon got the idea. He carefully shambled over to her, and placed his paws around her neck. He pulled back on his hind legs, and began to tug the mask off. It was sliding off her face, and her form was fading.
She escaped the containment of her mask and the umbreon, but now what. She was still trapped in the cave with no way out. She turned around and saw that the umbreon was still staring at her fearfully. Jessica turned around and raised her hand. “loyal,” she said. HIs look went from fearful to friendly. A big grin spread across his muzzle, and he brushed against Jessica’s leg. He would certainly help her out.
Jessica stared back down at the faceless mask.
