The Red one is "Excalibur III, a former Army P-51C, once owned by Captain Blair. He bought it from Stunt Pilot Paul Mantz who won the Bendix Trophy 3 times after WW2 with it. Blair used the plane to set speed records and also flew from Stockholm to Fairbanks, over the North Pole. after he set several records, his employer, Pan American Airways purchased the plane from him, and donated it to the Smithsonian, where it remains, on display at the Steven Udver-Hazy Center.
The Blackhawk Planes were Blue-Black with a Hawks head in a Yellow Circle.

War thunder, the planes have a much better "feel". WoWp, the planes feel like they are made of cast iron, and take forever to roll. WW2 Era aircraft, such as the P-40, the Ki-43, and especially the I-16 Ishak, have rather sprightly roll rates. Turn radius in a dogfight is good, but being able to switch directions quickly is better. WarThunder seems to understand this a lot better. WoWp seems to make all the planes the same for some poor "game balance" reason, but in War Thunder, all the planes handle very differently, but all of them are fairly fragile, and full of machine guns, so even the weakest early war Biplane had a chance to shoot down a jet with luck and skill. Look on Youtube for the video's by "the Mighty Jingles" for examples and commentary on WarThunder.
Funny you'd mention TMJ I did in fact see one of his WT videos while hunting for WoT vids last night, thx for the tip I'll look him up for more, DL'd WT last night look forward to planes that don't feel like flying tanks lol. Well off to the skies then, who knows mabey someday I'll catch yeas in the cross hairs or worse you'll catch me..lol
