Alright yes, it's 2008 and this is from 2007, but I JUST uncovered this from my old stuff. This image was one i did in photoshop over a period of about 12 days. Sketched out and then lightly pencil coloured it to give me an idea of where things should go. then layered over that picture with the digital paint. I started out with a 2000 by 3500 some pixel image and brushed in the fur and smudged and shaded and highlighted inch by inch on screen. then i'd zoom out to make sure it was looking ok. 16 layers later i did the eyes and nose. 6 layers were at only 60% opacity. I cheated and used my celtic clipart cd for the knotwork then colored them in and added shadows. I still see a lot of work to be done on this and i'd KILL to have my hands on a tablet again :(
