Ok, first reason for this is simple: I wanted to practice dog anatomy.
Second I wanted to try something: I've seen tons of dog characters but... sadly most look... D: ridiculous. They're covered in dozens of accessories and have rainbows markings and wings and extra tails.
WTF mate? That doesn't make you character all too original I'm sorry to say.
So I wanted to show it isn't too hard to make an original dog character that is more natural colors and doesn't have too many accessories but STILL LOOKS LIKE A NORMAL DOG AND ISN'T UNORIGINAL!
So here's Askold, named after a famous viking. Also before someone notes this I do know that real vikings didn't have wings/horns on their helmets. I just though it would look more stereotypical with them.
Also tried a few new things shading though they may not be that visible.
Dog anatomy constructive critiques wanted.
btw: is the background too bright? if so I could try to change it ^^;
