I realized I had only shared this image on my personal Facebook and never uploaded elsewhere as I was getting ready to sadly submit a new memorial piece.
Socks (aka Sox) passed away on November the 8th, 2010 due to kidney failure. He was my second cat and was a very sweet boy. He, too, loved to keep my grandma company while I was away and would fetch a soft ball toy from downstairs just so she would throw it back down there for him again. He was a quiet cat, except for when he was downstairs and would call loudly for several minutes. He loved going out in to the backyard when he could, but as he got older, he was strictly an indoor cat. We never really let him out to be on his own anyways. Along with Booger, he would sunbathe on the porch for hours.
We attempted dialysis at home through an intravenous drip for two weeks, however it was to no avail. Socks passed away in my bedroom and he was not alone. He called out while I was asleep and I was able to say my goodbyes to him. He is buried in the backyard in his favorite bed with many toys he loved to play with. He is deeply missed.
