A 3/4 view of the car. 1996 would be the last year for turbo engines, so until last year there was no chance of the record being broken. Will the new Dallaras ever surpass this mark...we will have to see how it plays out.

My uncle did a lot of artwork for Indycar in the nineties (briefly owned an art store with Arie Luyendyk), and after 9/11 my dad did security liason work at the Speedway, so I've gotten to spend a lot of time in areas people usually don't even see. Probably been a decade since I've even been on the grounds, though. Good times! :)
