Soooo I had my pair of cockatiels sitting on a nest of 4 eggs, and my button quails laid eggs in with them (the tiels have their nest on the ground for some reason in this little rock enclosure). Never in a million years would I had guessed a first time mommy tiel would have hatched one of her own so far out of the 4 and I think the others might be hatching too and a button quail as well- there's more of their eggs in there and I think those might be hatching too. I honestly didn't think she'd hatch any of them much less one of a different species, and on the same day of all things! I've relocated the quail baby since they take different care than the baby tiels and I'm waiting for the others to hatch.

reminds me of when my king pigeon hatched three bantam chicken eggs... and successfully raised them! I mean all baby chickens need is food, water and a warm body so they just followed her around all day and sat under her at night... Funny thing though was when she tried to feed them, since chickens don't do that the chicks were just like wut the hell... but the funniest thing is how she would silently walk off (hens cluck constantly) when the chicks weren't looking and then they'd realize she was gone and then panic and find her X3
