For almost three years now I've wanted to make a furry comic to the song "Space Oddity" by David Bowie. Last night I decided to start it, and I'm pretty happy with the result.

I had always loved that song, and then came Apollo 13 and "Houston, we have a problem..." and the potential for a non-return scenario became very real. Because of my work on the Lunar Excursion Module Descent Engine, I was one of the rocket scientists who got a phone call from NASA asking whether it had the capability to bring the three astronauts back to Earth, something that it had not been designed to do. Fortunately, that is the best rocket engine ever designed by man. (OK, that's a proud papa's personal opinion, but a well informed one.)
