Hey there folks! ^,^ Here's something to go with my Magic of Innocence story and set the stage for when the next chapter eventually shows up! And for those of you who are just joining us and don't know what "Magic of Innocence" is you can find out here =3

But anyway I'll cut to the chase and explain what we've got here for you =3
Behold the magnificent Innocent Castle, centerpiece of the Kingdom of Innocence and home to the Royal Court. The highest ranking fairies in the entire kingdom and more or less the ruling family of the place… under Mommy & Daddy of course. Each fairy has a title representing their authority and their responsibilities in the kingdom… but past that the titles are just for show like how little kids can call themselves king, prince, princess, or queen and not know what they mean past being “Somebody who tells the others what to do”. Because of that the members of the court with actual royal titles aren’t actually related. The king & queen aren’t married, the prince and princess aren’t their kids. Also due to gender being decided by what you wear and play with by the Kingdom’s standpoint those titles don’t even need to go to the right actual gender… though by default once you have them your kind of stuck in that role with all Kings being male, and Queens female, and so on. Also the titles can be passed down to new members and when one member of the court retires they simply hand it off to the next one… or if they don’t have a next one in mind the rest of the court picks somebody.
Anyway with that all explained let’s get to the actual members of the royal court, what their titles mean, and what their responsibilities are! =D
King & Queen
The King and Queen are the highest authority in the land… under mommy & daddy anyway. They make laws (rarely anyway, and most of the existing laws amount to what gets you a time out and what you’re not supposed to do), settle arguments, set holidays, oversee assigning fairies their respective duties, and make sure the royal court is running smoothly. Because of this they rarely get to leave the castle… which is why their unofficial duty is to make sure the castle is the place with the best parties around so the people can come to them instead.
King ??? – The current King and shortest member of the royal court (even shorter than Shuffle)the King is an extremely odd fairy. Traditional fairy customs dictate that fairies, due to being the ones responsable for overseeing them, should dress and act more mature than the baby and toddler citizens of the kingdom. Not needing to use the bathroom or eat (though most eat from time to time for fun) they can usually avoid using the more babyish things in the kingdom… except for the occasional fairy who enjoys being babyish. The king is one such fairy. He enjoys wearing diapers, sucking on pacifiers, getting Mommy to cuddle him, and generally being babyish. He also is a bit of a glutton always eating sweets and never being seen without a lollypop. Despite all this though he’s a kind, friendly, and generous ruler who is well loved by the kingdom due to understanding the baby and toddlers surprisingly well and working to keep them happy.
Queen ??? – The current queen and a devoted girly-girl the queen is about the embodiment of everything you’d expect from a cute and well-mannered five year old girl. She’s sweet, even tempered, kind, considerate, loves dolls, tea parties, pretty clothing, and dress-up. Her love of dress-up is rather legendary in the kingdom since getting a private audience with her usually involves having to go through at least one session of dress-up and make-overs before she’ll listen. Other than this and her playful teasing streak though she’s loved by her subjects as a kind of big sister figure and enjoys keeping them happy and entertained, particularly through throwing parties.
Prince & Princess
Opperating under the King & Queen the Prince and Princess are the members of the Royal Court who are more active in the Kingdom… meaning they leave the castle to help handle things and check the state of the kingdom. Their most important job though is teaching the babies and toddlers of the kingdom about the laws, how to act to each other, how to treat the living toys of the kingdom, and new games to play. Because of this they rarely spend much time at the castle and are usually only there for parties, special occasions, or cause they wanna take a break. If the King & Queen aren’t available or somebody doesn’t want to go to them the Prince & Princess also have the authority to settle arguments and disputes.
Prince ??? – Cheerful, energetic, playful, and imaginative the Prince is well known for coming up with new games to play with a fondness for imagined adventures and make-believe games. Always friendly the Prince is well known for being more than happy to meet new people, get to know them, and invite them to play with him. Incredibly innocent he tends to always think 100% positively about everyone and everything meaning he has trouble dealing with trying to actually enforce any of the Kingdom’s laws or dealing with citizens acting up… luckily this is fairly rare.
Princess ??? – Sweet, innocent, playful, and kindhearted the Princess tends to leave teaching new games to the Prince and instead teaches the toddlers and babies to take care of their toys and to treat the living toys in the Kingdom with kindness and respect. While girly like the Queen the Princes tends to be more understated and less assertive than her superior Royal Court member, preferring to quietly suggest and ask rather than just pull somebody into her girlish games and fun. She also is well known to love plushies and footed pajama’s, particularly animal themed ones, and has hosted many pajama parties with those being the dress code in the past.
Captain
One of the lesser Official roles in the Royal Court the Captain acts as the Captain of the Guards and is responsible for leading and commanding the various toy soldiers who guard the castle as well as patrol the Kingdom… but since the Kingdom is usually very peaceful the Captain fulfills a very different role most of the time. He’s the one who makes sure everything works properly and “keeps the trains running on time” as the saying goes. He makes sure the King stops playing with his baby toys long enough to handle running the court or drag the queen away from her dress-up long enough to make a decision on an important matter. It’s a thankless job but it has to be done… the Captain also keeps to put law-breakers in time-out from time to time but that’s fairly rare.
Captain Chocolate – Preferring to go by just his title Chocolate eagerly took the job of Captain thinking he’d get to slay monsters and be a hero… naturally he was unhappy when he found out what the job really entailed. Because of these he’s fairly sulky and grumpy most of the time and doesn’t get along well with most people outside his numerous sisters. Despite this he tries to do his job as good as he can and is rumored to be a big softy past his grumpy exterior. He also dreams of someday finding his own princess he can save from danger like the heroes in the storybooks.
Advisor
One of the lesser roles in the Court the Advisor position is the least wanted position among the fairies of the Kingdom due to the job description, the responsibilities that come with it, and the general stereotype about it. The Advisor’s job is to be smart, calm, collected, wise, and mature so that they can help the members of the Royal Court and the citizens that come to them make good decisions. Since even the most serious fairy balks at the idea of having to be serious and mature constantly most of them consider the job and whoever has it weird keeping them from socializing or being friends with this member of the Royal Court.
Advisor Trump – The current advisor to the Kingdom, Trump was picked for this role both due to how intelligent he was (mostly due to having good common sense and basic reasoning skills) and because he didn’t seem to mind solitude meaning he could likely handle being excluded thanks to the job better than other fairies could. Despite this Trump is still friendly and sociable to anyone who comes to him for help and is probably the most mature fairy in the kingdom. Despite this he does get lonely from time to time… which is why a while back he took in a pair of fairy siblings who were new to the kingdom as apprentices and playmates and taught them what he knew such as magic. Thanks to the siblings still visiting him often (one actually living in the castle) Trump isn’t quite so lonely anymore.
Jester
The role with the least authority in the Royal Court… and arguably the most important one there is due to how the Kingdom of Innocence works. The Jester’s job is to entertain the Royal Court and any guests that they might have. The jester also acts as the official playmate for them… which in the Kingdom where games and playtime is so important is a very important task. He can also fills in for the Prince or princess when it comes to making up new games and helps the King & Queen to plan their parties. Because of this the Jester is usually well like but very put upon due to what’s expected of him.
Jester Deal – The current Jester and one of the star entertainers of the Kingdom Deal is loved by virtual everyone for his funny jokes and comedy skits and most off all his magic tricks and stage show. When they just arrived in the Kingdom Deal and his sister Shuffle had no clue what to do with themselves before they were taken in by the Royal Advisor Trump who acted like a pseudo father-figure to them in a way. It’s thanks to Trump that Deal got his chance to audition to be Court Jester (and it’s also thanks to Trump Shuffle became Court Mage) and Deal makes sure to visit Trump often. As far as personality goes Deal is cheerful, energetic, playful, and always eager to perform whether it’s for the king or just to put a smile on the face of somebody who’s had a bad day. Deal also has a slightly teasing side that he only shows around his “Little” sister Shuffle but he’ll be the first to brag about her and often tells her how proud he is of her skills. Usually when he’s not entertaining people or visiting Trump Deal is out at Shuffle’s tower visiting her.

Shuffle is quite fond of her brother and proud of how popular he is in the Kingdom… though whenever he starts bragging about her she gets huffy and tries to hide her blushing at how happy it makes her. Like Deal she also looks up to and cares about Trump, visiting him quite often even if she doesn’t live in the castle anymore.

Well it's cause I'm opening up a contest! =D I'm looking for cute, creative names for the King, Queen, Princess, and Prince! ^_^ Something nice and unique sounding... but please no more card related ones <,<; used up all I want to on Shuffle, Deal, and Trump. Also stay away from various candies if you can since I plan to use them for Chocolate's siblings =3 other than that anythings game! So if you have any suggestions post them here... or in the journal that'll soon follow and that'll be linked to here when it is posted! =D
