For crit, I can't tell if it's just the way the flash went off, but it looks like the concave area under the left cheekbone is a bit too prominent? It doesn't seem to match the right side, but again it could be an illusion of shading.

That looks really good! I'm pretty stoked you're doing this sculpt as a spotted hyena-furry friend of mine has been making noise about wanting a suit... and there are no spotted hyena head bases around. The biggest things I see are; from the nose to the top of the head along the bridge of the muzzle should be a straighter line, actually, that's about it... Everything else you just have to adapt to the human head for it to work vs. the giant meathead that is a spotted hyena. Good job, damn good job. I'm gunna want one of these when you're ready!

Happy to help! Looking forward to seeing a completed head on this base. I've been mulling around the general hyenadae / protelinae families lately as I am about to start on a commissioned aardwolf suit.

Oh god, that nose is beautiful. My only critique would be that the nose is tilted downward just a bit too much. The angle of the bridge to the muzzle is fantastic. I thought that at first but then you have to remember this isn't supposed to be a "true" spottie head as it must fit on a human head which is a very different shape

I know that, but I do hope she will use foam to lengthen out the back. It is suppose to be for a "hooman", but all good realism should be just that; realism.

Very true but I'm super happy with how it is right now, so anything else will just make it even better :)

really like the length of the head, at first I thought the nose bridge where a bit short but after looking huskypaws link, it is not that far off actuelly

partway through sculpting it I definitely found that I hadn't made it elongated enough :b I think I'm pretty close. The eyes will be set back into it as well which will make it look even longer :)

noticed the eye detail so didn't write anything about that
but it is really fun to see more detailed heads that are more realistic
it offers more shape for others that can spend on the masks, I would love to get one but to much saving required and paying the shipment >.<
