Sort of a spur of the moment thought. Also on the heels of the whole Dan Hsu / EGM controversy.
Also bear in mind that in local currency, videogames over here cost about $500 per disc (for new games, like Xbox 360 games) and there are NO trade-in stores. So basically, videogames over here are a long term investment, and sometimes you don't wait for the reviews. In these cases, you start wishing that these folks might be a bit more forthcoming with their initial impressions of said software.

o yea... I can relate...
as much as I hate to admit it... because of the high prices of games here I pirate most of my games and just buy original copies every now and again... that I dont really play myself as I dont want it to get scratched, so I play a pirated copy of it instead.
I can basically sustain myself up to two weeks for the price for an original game.
