I think I'm getting a hang of it.
anyway, here's the same character i used before to try out realism, and i quite like him so imma keep him~

just... off to more practice for me, i still need a way to blend in the lines nicely, but otherwise it's already quite looking like the thing i want.

I used paint tool sai to draw the entire thing, then fixed it up in Photoshop Cs5. I think my tablet died along the way :/
