It wasn't even the zippiest mech. The razorback and kit fox move just as fast and have more armor and firepower, not to mention superior sensor systems and the same weight (and of course jump capability)
The only things that the FireAant has going for it are the sleek appearance and low cost, but seeing as you can only get them through salvage, the low cost doesn't mean much.
