This is going to lead to a Glorfindel vs. Balrog situation, isn't this?

Really good work, in any case! The leaf plate armor is cool, the pit fiend's anatomy interesting, and the overall composition and coloring are excellent.

I honestly was partway through coloring it before I went "yike, that's really close to John Howe's (Alan Lee's?) picture of Glorfindel taking on the balrog, but a quick look revealed we'd gone in fairly different directions with composition. Oops.

D&D. I don't think pit fiends carried over. I didn't quite pull it off, I think I got too hung up on the face, but I really like the idea of wings/arms being rooted in pectoral muscles set at different diagonals across the body.
