Well, this finishes out the Bozza book! Etude number 14 "Allegretto" in B Major. This one wasn't nearly as tough as some of the others were, but of course presented its own difficulties.

About the new project:
I've been challenging myself to practice a different etude every day and prepare it to the best of my ability in one day. This has been very helpful, but I wanted to add an additional element of pressure/nervousness. So I started recording them to post here.
It's not a real performance- I usually AM playing with a metronome, and I usually record these in a couple of takes and put them together later. I'll try to do them in a single take when possible, but usually I'll break them up.

Not bad at all. As a bassoonist/woodwind specialist, I have a love/hate relationship with etudes. I hate bassoon etudes, but LOVE clarinet etudes. Do you have any recordings of your woodwind quintet up? I just founded my first post-master's degree quintet recently and am doing a crap-ton of arranging and composing for it, along with making sure rehearsals go as smoothly as possible (followed by hot tubbing to relax with the entire group afterward).
Anyway, before I ramble any further, have a great day and keep up the artistry on Clarinet. :)

Hey, great to hear from you, and thanks for the nice comments. Haha- how come you hate bassoon etudes so much but love the clarinet ones?
I do have quintet recordings, but they're from a few years ago. We have a few different members now and I think we're a lot stronger- I should upload some more recent recordings.
Quintet plus hot tub... I can think of a few quintets I would have enjoyed that with, but I'd prefer to keep clothes on with my current group XD
Anyway thanks again for the comment! I'll try to post some newer quintet stuff, and now I head off to look at your page... :)

Hey, it's not like we're nude together, just enjoy hanging out so much that its good to go down to the hot tub afterward and chat as muscles relax...sometimes with a few beers. Totally worthwhile.
I suppose I like clarinet etudes more is because clarinet is one of few instruments that's keyword system lays so nicely under the fingers (much like saxophone--and I love the Fehrling studies for it and oboe), whereas bassoon is what I /had/ to study after getting into college for such. I was glad that in grad school, my teacher was happy to work on more than notes with me since I already had them under my fingers how western-mentality schools demand.
Ill keep an eye out for more posts of yours. After we record from time to time (as our Hornist owns a recording studio...built up his career after his former brass quintet's recordings never made him happy with the work other techs did, so decided to "do it right" himself...great move, eh?) I'll share some with you.
Keep up the good work.
