It's frustrating when I do so many comics in order to finish this book, yet can't show them to anyone because they've all got spoilers. This is the most non-spoilerish image I could find -- and it's from January 2014! So, y'know, enjoy. I do actually like how it turned out.
And yes, that's the Greyhound logo in their world. It wouldn't make any sense for it to be nonanthropomorphic, would it?

Well, how much is it safe to assume about such things? Would a sports team with an animal as its name have a human in a suit as a mascot - or a real member of the species? Would race horses demand their share of a race's winnings? (Or be fined if they lost the race?) Would eagles be required to act "in keeping with their identity as national symbols"? It's difficult to know what to assume and what not to.
All valid questions.
Would a sports team with an animal as its name have a human in a suit as a mascot - or a real member of the species?
How much money have they got?
Would race horses demand their share of a race's winnings? (Or be fined if they lost the race?)
Lorna's considered kind of generous among humans, so that should answer that question. It's not as if Meganewswest is totally 100% happy with the arrangement they have now (coincidentally, see Friday's comic for an example!) , which is why they all got somewhat more demeaning jobs than they had at KPET. So, no, horses are just given stable and board, and do what they're told.

Wild animals pretty much just "are." No one makes any more expectations out of them than they do in the real world, as long as they mind their own business.

Also, there are no non-anthro domestic animals in this world (only domestic birds don't wear gloves), so a four-footed greyhound would just be WEIRD, or at least, insanely antiquated. Not that I feel like opening up this can of worms, but the whole place has a history...
