Powered space armour always looks cool. Wearing a leather greatcoat and/or a big cloak over said powered space armour looks even cooler, to my thinking.
Just a fairly hasty sketchy thing inspired to a degree by the concept art that's been released for Bungie's upcoming game 'Destiny.' Not a great deal of detail has been revealed about the game's world at time of drawing, but as a long-time fan of Bungie's work I'm fairly excited for the game and the concept art has a neat feel to it.
As such, my brain prodded me into doodling up my own variant of something similar; a Doreydragon bundled up in high-tech armour and additional layers of spiffy looking wasteland gear, and sporting a big rifle that is most certainly not in any way modelled after my custom 'Stomper III' Nerf gun because that'd be childish and silly.

Neat! And agreed - space armour looks WAY cooler with the leather and cloak over it. ^_^ Though... as you're probably not surprised, I prefer Dory oh-natural rather than hiding away all his cuteness and awesome paw..ness. *ponders* Pawesomenesss? You know what I mean. :P
Saw the trailer for that game - looks promising, but being tied up in GW2 and basically having little time for even that, I kinda doubt I'll ever get around to trying Destiny when it comes out.

Hehe, yeah my normal state is certainly more relaxed and less armoured than this. ;) Just fun to explore! Besideswhich that environment looks a bit hostile, wouldn't want to stub a toe or anything.
What I've seen and read of Destiny so far does look compelling, and Bungie's done enough good work to have earned some loyalty and trust from me. I know what you mean though, I don't have much time for gaming myself these days and the past couple years have brought enough disappointments in video gaming that it takes quite a bit anymore to get me to try a new one. Given my good history with Bungie I will most likely be investigating Destiny, but all I can do is wait and see how it it is!

Yeah, I hear ya on the disappointment thing. I still think you'd enjoy GW2 - I mean all these months later since I started and I'm still quite happy with it (which is a small miracle). Besides being a well made game, it has two particularly awesome qualities; Charr & paws. :D

I'm glad you like! It's funny, I had to push myself to get this one done, and while I'm happy with the result it felt a bit sloppy/sketchy/hasty to me, not what I'd think of as one of my better works in technical terms. So it's really interesting to post things here and get different perspectives about its quality!
I do like the style and feel and look of it quite a bit though, so it's highly possible I'll do more sketches at least with this sort of idea in the future!

NOOOOOO it isn't sloppy. You're being brave with lights and making it grainy and it's like someone turned up your sharpness slider! And that doesn't look very very dragony, I imagine either a guy or a dragon could fit in there. Which is cool somehow. Yay yah :)

Hehe! I suppose the sharpness might partially just be due to the pen size I ended up using, largely a happy accident... funny story about dragony/humanyness, when I was first starting out on this I was a bit undecided, and I think even started doing it for a human form. Then a little way into the linework I changed my mind and decided I should go dragony. ;D So it ended up as sorta a funny hybrid shape! So I'm extra pleased that the proportions came out as well as they did despite that. ^^;
