Noticing how I don't seem to be very frequent in uploading, I decided that not every pic I post has to be "awesome quality", so I'll throw in some practice sketches I managed to do during my breaks at grad school.
This is a series of pics where I tried some different standing poses while at the same time piecing together the concepts for the R-Force's patented "shock-suits". Skintight spandex-y material is a dime-a-dozen, so I took a nod to a friend of mine and added a bit more to their wardrobe to achieve the flowing look I've always liked.
the second I started, detailing Rix's friend, Terrik. It's obvious I haven't drawn lizards in a looooong time...
Like the others, his suit has a top layer of loose, frictionless material that augments his abilities as an Auran. In Terrik "Spectre" Arrin's role as the team's infiltrator, the material aids in stealth ops by dissipating whatever light that hits it to make him more invisible in the shadows. In broad daylight it looks like a regular green cloth, but at night where only artificial light is available, it gives him a ghostly "chameleon" effect.
As you can see by his weapon of choice, he's a big fan of Bruce Lee :p
