I was talking with Marc Schirmeister recently, (by phone), and he mentioned that another FA member had posted a small number of his drawings. I checked it out and if you check Karno's gallery page, you can see them for yourself. I asked Schirm about putting a few more things up, and he seemed agreeable. So here's s small assortment, mainly from my personal collection of originals -- you won't see them elsewhere.
This is one of my favourite Schirm pieces, ever. It's funny, its restrained, its vigorous, its focused. It was so good I actually stole the idea (vaguely) for a drawing of my own a few years later. I think the only place this has appeared is on the cover of Plush.
Plush was a zine that Ken Fletcher and I published one issue of. We had the idea of a regular zine for news, reviews, critical articles, and editorials. But after one splendid issue our act fell apart and we never got it together again.

Ken and I would have published again anyway...
As far as I recall, the reason I never put together a second issue was that I had used up all the immediate ideas I had, and never got much useable writing from Ken either. We had tons of illos and some scraps of ideas, but it would have taken one or the other of us putting our backside on a chair in front of a typewriter to get the second issue out. It just never happened. then after a few months, Ken didn't have the extra income to float the zine.
