I was talking with Marc Schirmeister recently, (by phone), and he mentioned that another FA member had posted a small number of his drawings. I checked it out and if you check Karno's gallery page, you can see them for yourself. I asked Schirm about putting a few more things up, and he seemed agreeable. So here's s small assortment, mainly from my personal collection of originals -- you won't see them elsewhere.

This is one of a small number of cartoons Schirm did of Saara early in our friendship. He laboured over this like you wouldn't believe. I have four or five earlier drafts, some virtually finished. I'm not even positive this *is* the final version, but its the one I think most successful. In those days Schirm was a merciless critic of his own work, and never seemed to think it was any good. It was all good. But you couldn't convince him of it! A few years working in the animation industry has cured him of the worst of his perfectionism, as deadlines are uncritical. Unfortunately, doing storyboards for Monster Barn or Camp Candy have cut into his time to do fan art almost as mercilessly.
