Its my character Soma reading a book with his Fairy Furry sitting by him eating some snacks, the only friend he's got. why is the fairy his only friend?

Soma isn't sociable, he's usually seen as creepy because he seems to just appear places. He doesnt really ever talk to people and if they talk to him he's known to ignore them. He has lots of secrets and would rather not share them. The fairy was a furry that was going to be put down because of instead of making regular noises she would make a tinkling sound. so she was going to be killed. But Soma saved her and now they're best friends. ^^
