1) I know the lakes look like rivers. Roughly 70-80 years ago, that's what they were. However, the good lake is at least 2 miles wide at many points.

2) I swam across the lake twice. The first time I did it by myself, the second time with my two sisters and my father. My father wound up toting my middle-sister, and I wound up toting my younger sister. The first time was much more fun, since I had oxygen going to my brain.

3) Pulling boats that run out of fuel/battery charge/gives-a-fuck is a pretty common past-time on the lake. Most of the time this is done by other boats, but occasionally, when you are out of cell phone range or it is late at night, you get to jump into the lake and haul that bad-boy yourself!
