Nice! The pads start well, and the leads then take control, and soon I get completely engulfed by this amazing, soothing, abstract song! I love it! Makes me think of some sort of white canvas with random shapes in various shades of grey... And the beats are so energetic, yet they make the song more calm! Impressive! I love the way you balance the notes, making everything sound as if it's in the correct place, making aspects stand out, but not ignoring the backing parts. I'm almost doubting you when you say you don't know any theory! The song is so relaxing I might just set it to replay and go to sleep listening to it! I'm thinking how it'd sound if you replaced the synths with orchestral instruments, because if you did it correctly, it'd be amazing! The ostinatos you used (whether you realized or not) really give the song character, and means that you do less work for a better result (unless you write each ostinato over and over again) and I'd say that using those ostinatos, you could make this song go for 2x the length without much extra effort! Which'd be great, since I can't get enough of it! Noticing this is just a demo, you'll probably make it longer, anyway! Just noticed again, how many exclamation marks I'm using!
I think I covered pretty much all of the critique just saying how awesome the song is, so I saved myself an extra 15 minutes of writing!
Keep up the awesome composing, and hopefully you'll get your equipment back soon! As much as I hate to hear about how bad your relationship with your uncle is, I really find it crazy how you manage to put up with it all!

Had to look up ostinato haha. Well, being honest here, I don't have any technical training, so any theory I'm doing is from, well, pure experimentation! I do have what you've shown me and a bit from what I've picked up online, but I really don't have a clue to how to progress chords with music theory, I just go where the song takes me. And it's looking like it's going to be around 3:30 in length! =)

I almost have my studio back in full running order, and I'm going to encrypt the sh-- out of it to keep it hidden from my uncle. Hopefully my bro will be working soon so we can get an apartment together and get the heck out of dodge! And as always, many thanks for the crit! And I might just do an orchestral remix/cover of this in the future!!
