The Sho Must Go On!
Alternative Ending
Sho let out an aggravated sigh before finishing off the final member of Team UpSpark with a devastating Hi Jump Kick. No sooner than Dani fell in defeat, Sho dropped to his knees in exhaustion, the injuries he sustained finally catching up to him.
“So, they call themselves Team UpSpark, huh?” Sho questioned out loud, eyeing each of the knocked out Pokemon. “It’s a fitting name, I give them that.”
After taking a moment or so to recuperate, Sho got back to his feet and looked at defeated Rescue Team with a condescending face. He turned around and started to head into civilization. All of a sudden, the sound of Yuri regaining conscious caused Sho to dawdle in his departure, sighing irately. He started to walk towards the injured Pikachu.
“I can’t allow you idiots to bother me again,” Sho begrudgingly explained, taking out a shiny golden pocket watch from his bag. “If it works for that Weavile, then it’s bound to work for me as well.”
Yuri growled and valiantly tried to stand up, his cheek sacs emitting a feeble display of static. Sho placed his foot down on the rodent’s plump stomach to keeping him in place as he dangled the pocket watch down in front of his eyes. Expediently, Yuri shut his eyes tight, not wanting to be allured into the fiend’s every whim.
“You won’t hypnotize me!” Yuri declared with an added growl.
Sho rolled his eyes. “Fine, you win,” he said, taking his foot off his stomach. “Hypnotizing others isn’t my style anyway.”
Yuri waited for a couple of seconds before opening his eyes. To his panic, the pocket watch was still there, held by a smirking Sho, swinging it from side to side. It seemed the plucky Rescue Team leader had fallen for one of the oldest tricks in the book. He tried to close his eyes, but his lids refused to obey. His pupils started to follow the enthralling flow of the watch, unable to look away.
“That’s it, rat,” Sho spoke in a calm tone of voice. “Keep on looking at it.”
As much as he wanted to gaze away from the classic entrancing accessory, the battle he had with Sho had made him too weak to fight back. After a couple more seconds of witnessing the persistent, monotonous motion of the watch, Yuri’s eyes turned into a dull green, falling under a deep trance.
“It looks like he is under,” Sho observed out loud, waving his hand in front of Yuri’s face. “Either this hypnosis is easier than I thought, or this rat’s mind is weak. I vote for the latter.” After chuckling to himself, he knelt down on one knee, getting up into Yuri’s face. “Can you hear me, Pikachu?”
“Yes, I can hear you...” Yuri responded in a lacklustre tone.
“Will you listen and obey the commands I give you?” Sho asked him.
The engrossed rodent gave a single nod. “Yes, I will listen and obey to the commands you give me,” he spoke in the same tone of voice.
“Now, how does this go again...?” Sho asked himself, rubbing under his chin in inquisition. He glanced away from the dull eyed Yuri, preferring not to gawk at his gormless mug as he was thinking. “I think I have to tell him to clear his mind, or something...”
“Clear...my mind...” Yuri spoke, overhearing his Mienshao hypnotist.
“Shut up!” Sho snapped at Yuri, resisting the urge to slap him. “Your master is trying to think! I command you to mind your own business until I state otherwise!”
“Yes, Master,” Yuri loyally replied.
At that moment, a groan emitting from Nido broke Sho’s trail of thoughts. Without a second judgment, the Mienshao leaped over to the Nidorino and dangled the pocket watch in front of his eyes. Nido opened his eyes and saw the multi-purpose object enticing him to continuously look at it with each and every swing.
“That’s it, Nidorino, look at the shiny thing...” Sho patronizingly addressed Nido.
The eyes of the Poison-Type dimmed until they were as dull as his bosses. He, very much like his Pikachu leader, was under Sho’s complete control. Sho smirked and headed over to the still unconscious Dani, his trusted pocket watch at the ready.
“I just know you will come around too before I finish with your pathetic leader,” Sho stated with a sigh.
As expected, the Chansey started to stir with feeble mumbles. Sho picked her up to place her into a sitting position before dangling his watch up close to her opening eyes. Dani fully came to and immediately watched the swaying item with curious interest. It wasn’t long until she was lulled into an emotionless, hypnotic state, joining her friends in Sho’s servitude.
“Again, either I am surprisingly good at this whole hypnosis crap or this team is THAT simple minded,” Sho commented with a roll of his eyes. “Chansey, stand up and come over here with me.”
“Yes,” Dani bluntly answered, standing up with little to no hesitation. “I shall do what you say.”
“You too, Nidorino!” Sho ordered Nido as he and Dani passed by him.
“Yes, I shall obey,” Nido emotionlessly responded, joining his Chansey friend in follow the leader.
Sho stopped over by Yuri. “Alright, you two, stand by your loser of a boss so I can address you all at the same time,” he impolitely commanded the entranced pair.
“Yes, I shall listen and obey,” the two replied in creepy unison.
The Mienshao crossed his arms. “You lot were a right nuisance. If you just listened to me when I told you I wasn’t an outlaw, all this could have been avoided!” He berated them, putting on an angry appearance. “You weaklings aren’t fit enough to be a Rescue Team if you ask me!”
“We weaklings aren’t fit enough to be a Rescue Team...” Yuri and his team spoke in sync with one another.
“I am so glad you agree! You may as well erase the foolish idea of being one from your stupid little brains!” Sho proclaimed with his usual arrogance. “In fact, why not clear your minds of anything that will further annoy me!”
“Clear...erase...our minds...” the members of Team UpSpark uttered.
Through the power of hypnosis, Yuri and his friends completely cleared out a large portion of their memories from their entrapped minds. They did, however, maintain the knowledge of their own, each other’s and their family names. On the other hand, the memories they proudly held of being part of a Rescue Team were gone.
“I would tell you to leave me the heck alone, but I don’t want to leave you idiots off the hook that easily,” Sho further elucidated. “You will worship me as your better and support me during my matches at tournaments!”
“We will worship you as our better and support you during your matches at tournaments,” the mindless trio simultaneously responded.
Sho couldn’t help but smirk at the obedient words spoken by his subjects. He never for one second thought his hypnosis was having a permanent effect on the young Pokemon’s minds.
“Now, wake up!” Sho ordered, giving the three a slap across the face with a single swing of his arm.
Yuri, Nido and Dani snapped out of their mesmerized state, rubbing their slapped spots. They eventually glanced upwards, a smile spreading across their faces the moment they laid eyes upon Sho. Their eyes sparkled with admiration for their new master.
“Master Sho, there you are!” The overjoyed bunch exclaimed.
“Are you three ready to make it up to me?” Sho asked.
“Of course we are, Master Sho!” Yuri and co merrily responded, raising their arms in salute. “Just tell us what to do and we shall follow it without complaint!”
“You know, a simple yes would have sufficed,” Sho informed his ecstatic servants in a slightly annoyed voice. “Now, follow me. There is a lot of work to be done.”
“Yes, Master Sho!”
The Mienshao smirked and headed into the nearby town, followed closely by his band of brainwashed fans. Team UpSpark was no more. In their place was a trio of Pokemon that were determined to serve the same Mienshao who that originally considered a villain.
END
What if I included hypnosis in this story like I do with others? Well, this will happen. Sho decides to make certain Yuri and this team never bother him again.
