...Everybody wanted to see em! So here we go! A photo of one of the babies! If you want better pictures, then you better send me the money for a camera and a macro lens, cuz these fuckers are about 1 or 2 millimeters big! They're ridiculously tiny, but already running around, exploring, eating, swimming, everything! So far, I can confirm there are at least 4!
CRABBIES!
UPDATE: It is normally advised to separate the mother before she has the babies. I, however, didn't know she was carrying baby crabs. But it is currentlyyyyy... 2AM, and I just got finished of catching EVERY SINGLE BABY CRAB. Every single one. I'm sore and tired but I got em all, I think. Ever broke an egg and had a bit of the shell land in the egg? And you try and scoop it out with a spoon, but it keeps sliding away? Now imagine doing that to newborn tiny baby creatures, about the size of a few grains of sand at MOST, who are VERY fragile and run faster than anything you've seen before.
But they're all in a separate home now, with the mother, since she seemed protective of her babies, and might carry a few more (This species of crab actually "gives birth" to live crabs, instead of laying eggs.) soooo... They're in a separate home with nice water, food, and a million hiding places in the wood.
I didn't count how many I've caught after carefully transferring the wood into the new home. But I'm guessing there might be about 20 to 30 baby crabs. Oh god, I am not prepared for parenthood of 30 tiny fragile beings.
I'll post more updates ASAP. Tomorrow we'll be setting up the permanent new home for the babies, while the mother will go back to her old spot.

These are the size of sand grains, pretty much. I just caught them all. Forgive my laziness for copy-pasting, but it's almost 2AM, soooo...

Currently 4 adults, 3 of them females. The one male is incredibly sweet for such a lil crab, gently taking care of his female. It's heartwarming, especially after seeing what an asshole one of my other male crabs was, always dominant, almost destroying the other crabs (He went to another home recently, after I saw how violent he was.)
Then there's the tiny ones, the baby crabs... I didn't count them all, that's near impossible... But... There might be at least 20 to 30...

Though these are different colouring, lighter, more like marble. .w. I do have a purple and orange one. And a deep purple/black and red one. .w.
