Last few days we've been having some really heavy winds. I think the actual snow fall in Queensburry was over a foot, but the drifts on some roads were up to 8 feet. Some roads just weren't' there any more.
BUt all the same, was an opportunity to go play out on Ol' Ratty (My Honda C90.)
I was coming down the road at about 40, maybe a little more, on whats normally a pretty wide road, but the tractors only left a single track through the snow. A 4X4 was coming the other way, so seeing the drift I couldn't help but plough straight into it. It stopped me dead and I ended up against the handlebars. How I didn't go over them this time I dunno, cause its the fastest I've crashed into a drift, and others have sent me on a superman style jump.
Anyway, 4X4 man stopped to asked if I'd dont it on purpose and laughed when I said yes. But now poor tally is a little beaten and bruised after crashing into this snow drift, 2 others, a wall, and a snow plough that had spun sideways on the road after trying to plough through a large drift.
