Did a little astronomy tonight with a friend. After messing around with his astronomical video camera, I snapped some photos of Jupiter with a Canon camera.
Took this through our clubs 14 inch aperture Celestron, at about 9:45 this evening. I love how I was able to pick up the color and banding.

I'll have to check my charts to be sure, but most of the equatorial bands are there.
You should have seen the beautiful photo someone took through the same scope last week at our public program... with the camera on their smart-phone!
