one of the draw backs of trying to take pictures of the night sky you have to find the right combonation of iso sensitivity, color ballance, shutter speed, and how much light is getting into your lens (the F number EX. F5).
in this case theres too much light getting into the lens so the F unit was to small (it was set for F5) and needed to be bigger (around F6 to F6.5)
