No clue if it's actual fur or faux fur. Faux fur of high quality is pretty common these days. It's more funny in an ironic sense of timing with what the interviewer was saying (perhaps intentional). Also I think it's a good thing for her to put into perspective where the fur comes from in the event it IS real. She might be more likely to equate it to the fur of a cat or dog.
