*EDIT* I did some additional post-processing and kind of improved this a bit I think. Still not where I'd like it, but better. CTRL-F5 if you don't see the new one.
Experimenting with a cheap zoom lens a friend let me borrow. This isn't something I have a lot of practice at and I think the quality of the lens is questionable.
This is Sphyrapicus varius. The Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, a type of woodpecker. As you can see, he's put quite a few holes in this tree here.
This lens has some Chromatic Abberation issues, as indicated by the purple fringing you might notice.
Hopefully I can test this with some birds that are closer...but they're rather skittish.
