Upon hearing about how Icaras came to be, to me it sounds like an inverse to some degree of sadly Lotus today given how if you consider some of their racing programs have been less than sufficient. In ALMS GTE they gave Alex Job no real support with the Evora (to my understanding he was meant to get a 2012 chassis but got a refreshed 2011 one)...

With Indycar they were on average underpowered, unreliable and overall bad, and of course the programs they had canceled.

Then there's 'Team Lotus' later Team Caterham, I want to give credit to the Lotus under Kimi Rakkionen, but that's really just a sponsor deal, and I remember the team more as Beneton than anything else (Ditto for the Lola Toyota in the ALMS/WEC).

Still, at least there's hope in regards to some of their other road cars apart from what's already out, and part of me is hoping to see an actual successful Lotus. I'm reminded as an invert because Icaras started off ambitious, but seen as a joke, but was later revived to be a much more serious effort.

For a while I wanted to give a shot of doing a variant of the vehicle in colors from Lotus, and I picked the one from the 49. I also decided to give the standard variant a shot as well.

I also forgot and should give a shout out to Keg_11/Gilke001 for his work on the WipEout wiki, including the sponsors, that I were able to find and re-create for my own works (though I had to go an extra mile to make 'Feel the Rush', then again I also made the AIMI sponsor for the Piranha Fury).

Overall, I'm pleased with it, there are are some obvious flaws of course, but well, I'll keep pushing.

I hope to get to the fury variant soon enough, but a thing is, with some projects in mind, I want to draw all the ships proper...we'll see with everything going on in my life.
