Jenna got her pony aunts and uncles before her birth. When Forge and Ursa adopted Ember and Lucky, Twi and Firefly, who are 1/2 sisters to their mother Dawnstar, came into the family. Just after Forge and Ursa's marriage Twi and Firefly's herd (family/mating group), who were already close and "intamate" to one degree or another with F&U, voted unanimously to make F&U the alpha pair. I still have not found out exactly what they did to convince those two to take the position but I'm working on it.
That makes Jen's Pony aunts Firefly, Twilight, Fizzy and Sundance and Pony uncle Tex.
As for the family reunions, the Phoenix complex features two large common spaces easily used as party spaces.
