I figured I'd continue my Jenon series, this time with Ganondorf's Wind Waker design.
I'm not gonna lie. Personally, I felt that the idea of giving Ganondorf a sympathetic reason for seeking the Triforce, while a valiant effort to give him depth, was ultimately a mistake. Even before the reveal in Skyward Sword that Ganondorf is Demise reborn, he stood for absolute evil and greed. To give him a reason to empathize with his search is to take away from that sense of irredeemable wickedness. I'm normally of the opinion that writers should have the right to do as they please with their stories, and I again admit I admire the attempt, but I think Ganon is one of those characters who works best WITHOUT any depth beyond powerlust.
I do like how Ganondorf's Wind Waker design emphasized the mage aspect of him, though. Long and flowing.
