Woah! I love it! I had no idea it would look this cool!
Seriously, I knew it was good from what you were saying, bu this really is awesome, I love the style! *high fives*
Truly excellent work, the effect created is very good for these shots of the characters, for little looks at them. His fur pattening is blended nicely, and the highlight for me is his eye. Not just because it's at the centre of the picture, but it just draws you in, makes you look deep into it, and it stands out too, the way it looks clearer than the rest. That isn't meant in a critical way, I just mean the way most of it is a blending with colours mingling, but the eye seems stark and clear among all that, as if it's showing you something focused and fierce amidst all the chaos.
Speaking of which, this effect is so good for that background look we're using for certain places! It really conveys the swirling feel well, and you can imagine it moving in a way that makes it seem like a dreamworld of some sort. That's the impression I get, and it fits in very nicely. His hair, dangling just below his neck, shows it off well, the way it is almost hard to distinguish from the background effect.
Overall a fantastic piece, I love it, and I totally agree: perfect to go up on a wall, framed I'd say! You've used the oil style well for everything, the background, his hair, his fur, the overall tone of the piece. Oh, that's another good point, that hair. Works nicely, it flows and seems very naturalistic. Same as the rest of him in that respect, I think that's another main point I love, it looks very naturalistic. Okay, so it also looks like a kind of dreamworld, swirling and so on, but I can't think of a better word. His proportions and positioning just seems "right" in it, and that's a sign of your own skill in doing it rather than just the effect the oils and so on create.
Also nice to see his patterning, and I agree, it works. It has bits of dark tone, but not dramatically so. I'm afraid again I can't think of much to put forward in a critical respect, I feel I'd need to see more of this sort, and maybe more of whole bodies, before I could. But my reaction to this was a jaw-dropped one, I love it, and I'm really impressed at you being able to make something like this, and in such a short space of time!
Very well done! :D

thank you. the colours in the photo aren't quite teh same, and thelight kinda affects it alot as well, but thanks ^^ hehe and thanks for listening to all my rambling about it down the phone ^^; heh, I'll be getting to the others whn his one eventually dries like next year or something. the only problem with oils.
Ha, wow, I'm surprised at just how long these things take to dry fully. No wonder my mum was so insistent I leave her oils alone when I was little XP
I really look forward to seeing more, and seeing it in person. And ha, don't worry, you weren't rambling ^^ I like you being proud of your work, and I ramble loads!
