God I love this shot...

Feeling another episode of nostalgia coming on. I'm happy that I had the opportunity to live in Japan, but also sad and surprised that one year could go by so quickly... This was taken a year ago last month when I was visiting Fukuoka for the very first time.

Some people have set up their yatai food stands in the exact same spot for many, many years. Proven by this ramen lantern here, which appears to have been used for many years if not decades. I really like how the "ramen" katakana on the lantern lined up perfectly with the "ramen" curtain in the back.
