Keen to the Currents
2004
India ink on clayboard. This piece was inspired by the fantastic stylized art of many Northwest Coast tribes of native americans; in particular the Haida and the Tlingit. There is a lot of symbolism in this peice, mostly delving into the nature and mythology that links the wolf and the raven as kin, and their connection to the coast, the ocean, and its natural 'currents', both physical and spiritual.
