As far as Macross Zero is concerned the SV-51 was one of my faves, one because it was actually a new design rather then a VF-1 rehash like the 0.And two it borrows heavily form Russian mig and F-18 designs, both of which are my favorite aircraft^^

The SV-51 always struck me as an odd design.
The wings and stabilizers are excessively narrow, and the value of negative canards is dubious at best. The fuselage fairing also seems to be a few feet too long for an even balance in weight or aerodynamics.
Regardless, it's a VERY different layout than a UN Forces aircraft would have, and it stands out from the generic "VF" genre because of it.
Also, despite the fact that it looks wrong, it looks good.
