The ship itself is a rectangle it has plenty of base area to land on, the drive ring is lined so that it just leans on the ground when landed.
It also has four emergency leg-like extendable flaps/supports that help stabilize it or slow it down for re-entry.

Nah, no real need for drives in the flaps...they're just flaps... the impulse core of the ship already helps it slow down well enough.

What no? i can slow it down to about 20m/s at touchdown (preferably in water)
Besides we have graviton plating, it pretty much nullifies all of the ship's mass.
