There are a few main differences in the face of the Smilequus fatalis compared to the other pony tribes. The first one is ears that point more to the sides than forward. The second is, of course, the giant fangs, around which the lips, when the mouth is closed, shape into something resembling an angry grimage. These traits have fueled the rumor that sabertooth ponies are constantly grumpy. It's ironic, as the translation of their species' name is "smiling pony".
And, of course, a certain Pinkieus Piecus puts all of her effort into fixing this.
