With what Sorit's been through, I figure it would be a bittersweet thing to find shelter where there's some plant life managing to hold on. It'd be a reminder of the past, both a comfort and a source of pain.

I took this as an opportunity to push myself outside my comfort zone. Digital isn't my strong point, nor are backgrounds. I usually work with solid lines, where with this I forced myself to work without them (well, adding a few in digitally to define a few features, but that's it). Textures for the rocks came from cgtextures.com.
